Is Shuffle safe?

The short answer: it is a legitimate licensed operator, but with an offshore licence. Here is what that means for you in practice.

What a Curaçao licence means

In 2024 Curaçao reformed its gambling licensing: instead of the old master-licence and sub-licence system, operators now get their licence directly from the state regulator — the Curaçao Gaming Control Board. Shuffle was licensed under the new rules.

That is a step up from the old system, but Curaçao is still an offshore jurisdiction. Regulators such as the UKGC (UK) or the MGA (Malta) have stricter player-protection requirements and more developed dispute resolution.

Where Shuffle is unavailable

Shuffle does not operate in the US, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Australia, Singapore, the Cayman Islands or Curaçao itself, nor in countries under US, EU or UK sanctions. The list can change — check Shuffle’s terms for the current version.

Don’t get around restrictions

Using a VPN to access the site from a restricted country breaks the operator’s rules. The account may be closed and winnings withheld.

Identity checks (KYC)

Like most licensed operators, Shuffle may ask for documents proving your identity and address — for example for large withdrawals or under anti-money-laundering rules. It’s better to get verified early than to be asked at the moment you withdraw.

How to protect your account

  1. A unique password that you don’t use on any other site.
  2. Two-factor authentication via an authenticator app, if available in the settings.
  3. Only the official site address. Don’t follow links from private messages or “bonus giveaways”.
  4. Check the wallet address on every withdrawal.
  5. Never share confirmation codes — support will never ask for them.

If a dispute arises

Contact Shuffle support first and keep all messages and screenshots. If the issue isn’t resolved, you can file a complaint with the regulator — the Curaçao Gaming Control Board. Bear in mind the process can take time.

Bottom line

Shuffle is a licensed operator with transparent company and licence details. The main risks come not from the service itself but from the offshore jurisdiction and the laws of your country. Before signing up, make sure it is legal where you live.
